All Aboard!

Today Jacob and I enjoyed "A Day Out With Thomas."

Jacob loves trains and especially loves Thomas the Tank Engine. It could have something to do with the exposure of Thomas at an early age which was forced upon the kid. You see... Ron and I both thought Thomas was awesome; so when Nick was little and I was running my daycare, we bought oodles upon oodles of Thomas the Tank stuff. Nicholas never really caught on to the fad so when Jacob came along we had another opportunity. This time it worked!

This is the third year that Thomas has come to town and we have attended each one. Kids from all over gather to see the little blue engine during the 2 weekend event.

The train ride was probably Jake's favourite part of the day. As the conductor announced the departure and the train started moving the look on my little guys face was priceless.

We went chug chug chuggin along the old Port Stanley train line with Thomas leading the way. Jacob sang the bounced and gabbed the entire way.

We also got to meet the Leader of the Railway; Sir Thopham Hat. Big hugs and high fives were given all round.

Jacob and I had a great afternoon with Thomas and friends. It will be a sad day when Thomas is no longer "awesome" in my little guys eyes. So for now I am riding down the track of childhood with my little useful engine and enjoying every minute of the ride!
