Golf Camp

Last summer my Dad wanted to introduce Nick to Golf. It was always one of his favourite sports and he felt that Nicholas would be great at it too. I think he was a little "tee'd off" that he could not fulfill his promise but his health was failing quickly at this point. Before he past away in January, he told Mom to make sure Nick received those clubs he was looking at at Bob Martins.
So... to complete Grandpa's wish Grandma purchased "the" Jr. Golf clubs for our big guy and we signed him up for "Golf Camp" at East Park Golf Gardens. Today is the last day.
The kids spent the first 1/2 the day on the 9 hole course learning about grip and stance and how to swing the club. They were also taught golf ettiquette (which I think should be used in the home as well.) The last part of the day the spent participating in all the other activities East Park has to offer. Waterslides, mini-golf, rock climbing, bumper cars and more.
He had a great time and really enjoyed learning how to play. He says he hit the ball 200 yards. I think he was aiming for Heaven just to make sure that Grandpa was watching.
Golf is one of those games that you can play your entire life. You never know, he's got an early start. He may just develop the skills required to be the next Tiger Woods.

Can I have dibs on being his caddy if he becomes a famous golfer someday? I think I just did!
