Never trust the weather man

Today was a good example of when not to listen to the weather man. The forcast said rain. 90% chance of rain. Infact they were calling for thunderstorms.

Anne Marie and I both had the day off of work and had planned a "play date" for the kiddies. With the forcast as it was we forwent the big plans for storybook gardens or the park or the beach and decided to just hang out at the Pritchett h0use. But when the sun came out and decided to stay out, we made a run for the park.
Neither one of us really thought this trip through. We arrived at Springbank with no extra clothes and only 1 blanket for 4 kids to share. May I add that the park has a wading pool and the children are aged 2, 3, 4 and 5.

As supper time drew near we coaxed 4 wet kids out of the pool, stripped them down to their undies and bundled them in the 1 (now soaking) blanket that we actually brought.

It was a short trek back to the van and Jacob and Deanna decided that they would make it the distance together... That is what good friends do!

I'm not sure if the on-lookers at the park were laughing or questioning our parenting teqniques but I must say we certainly recieved a lot of looks and laughs!

If I were the bystanders, I would be asking the same questions...who are these kids parents and why do they barely have any clothes. You failed to mention it was the worlds longest trek back to the car!
