The Power Of Potter

The long awaited day for wizard fans everywhere is now over. "Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollow" was released to the public today at 00:01 am.

While I was snuggled in bed, dreaming of Hogwarts, Quiddith, Wizzards, Mudbloods, and He-who-must-not-be-named; my husband was standing in line at Shoppers Drug Mart with ticket number 106 out of 120. The 2 1/2 hour wait was definitely worth it. (for me)

Eyes half shut I wandered downstairs early in the morning to start the coffee pot. There on the counter was the untouched, newly released "Deathly Hollows". I was tempted to turn to the last chapter of the 607 page novel. But I didn't. I placed it in my backpack and headed off to work.

The power of Potter is simply astounding. J.K. Rowling has captured the attention of young and old with her imaginary world. I have always been a story teller (just ask my brother and sister) and made-up people and creatures frequently made their way into my world and still do.

As I write this, Ron is sound asleep in the big comfy chair and I am 2 chapters into the book but already captivated. Thank you Ron for knowing me. For knowing what makes me happy and for bringing to life a world outside my imagination that even J. K. Rowling would be envious of.
