Football, Freezies and Ferwerda Fun!

Today was the beginning of a very action packed and exciting summer for Nicholas. Forest City Football Camp starting it off in full contact. The camp is run by the head coach from CCH, Mike Circelli, and has an impressive coaching staff. There are Hamilton Tigercats, Saskatchewan Roughriders and Eastern Michigan players as well as coaches and many players and coaches at the University level too. This is Nick's 2nd year to participate. Last year he really didn't like it but now that he has some football experience from the LMFA and some friends also attending I
anticipate a week full of fun! We stayed and watched Nick in action this morning. Take note of this this blog because you never know... you could be looking at the next Football Hall of Famer!

Jake, armed with his "Cars" guys found a big pile of dirt (the long jump pit) and was happy as could be. Even happier after Daddy bought him a
HUGE freezie.

Jake looks up to his big brother so much. Nick was a little embarrassed when he plopped himself down during lunch with his football buddies and announced "I want to sit beside you Nicholas because I love you!" Ahhhh.

We left Nick to do his thing in the afternoon and popped over to see Grandma. When it was time for Ron to go back and get Nick, Grandma, Jake and I had an adventure to Grandma's park (Springbank). The wading pool was filled and Jake had a blast getting himself (and Grandma) wet. Before heading out we took a stroll to see if we could find any ducks. We were Lucky Duckies and found a mommy and her babies.

We ended our day with Kentucky Fried Chicken at Grandmas and a quick trip back to St. Thomas in time for Nick's Magic class at the YMCA. Jacob fell asleep in the car and 3 hours later is still sound asleep. Here's hoping he stays that way for the night!

Do you guys have great weekends like this all the time? Can I come along if I bring freezies? I promise not to do anything too embarrassing...

only if you bring freezies... just make sure they aren't red. I know what happens to you and red food colouring.
