This week was a scorcher. With no rain and temperatures of close to 40 degrees with the humidex, I was thankful that the boys were both attending the YMCA day camp.
Nicholas was able to enjoy a lot of different sports, including his favourite; football. He was actually put up with a group of 11 and 12 year old kids because he was running circles around the kids his own age.
I was worried about Jacob attending the camp this week. I didn't think he was ready. But he proved his mommy wrong once again. He was so proud to be so big... cause only big boys go to camp you know. He played well and made lots of friends and even swam all by himself!
Jacob was presented with "Camper of the Week." A pretty awesome accomplishment for his first ever experience with camp. He was awarded with a fold-up Frisbee, a St. Thomas Police water bottle (Uncle Mark would be proud) and a $5.00 coupon to Dairy Queen.
I would pick up the kids after work each day. We trudged home in the unbearable heat and by the time we reached our doorstep my little Campers were sweaty and hungry and exhausted. And so was I.
Let's just say Ron and I got the pleasure of enjoying a few early to bed nights this week.

Oh, a $5 coupon for Dairy Queen? How cool is that? Way to go Jacob!
