Cousins

This weekend was full of summer time fun. And what better way to spend it then with "cousins."

Nicholas has been counting down the days until my sister "the weed scientist" and the boy's visit from Ottawa. He absolutely adores Zac and Adam and they always have a great time together.
Friday night we stayed at my Mom's. The boys made a fort in the basement out of blankets and pillows and blow up matresses. The slept in the fort with the stipulation that they could not try to break their record from Christmas time. I think the record is 4:00 am.

Saturday we went to Storybook Gardens. This seems to be a summer-time tradition. The park has changed so much since I was a kid, but watching them play on some of the old equiptment that I used to play on when I was their age is kinda fun! The kids had a great time playing and cooling down in the water.

Saturday night we celebrated Jake's Birthday and all the boy cousins were together. I love this picture of all the boys together.

The boys held a magic show staring the Magnificent Nick. Adam was the host, delivering Dad's oatmeal cookies to all. The rest of the boys were intermission entertainment. And that they definately were.

Sunday, we loaded them up for a trip to the beach. It was a cloudy and somewhat rainy day and we had to leave before our picnic lunch due to rain and the yellow flag at the beach but the kids still managed to have fun.

It was a sad good-bye Sunday evening. We were all sad that the weekend had to come to an end. The boys are counting the days until Auntie Jen and the boys visit again.
