The Magnificent Nick

Nick has always bee fascinated with magic. My Great Great Grandpa was a true Magician and my Dad dabbled in it himself after inheriting his treasured magic tricks. Those tricks have now found their way into Nick's hands. There are two big cases full of tricks (some unidentifiable.) Some dating back 100 years.

While signing Nick and Jake up at the YMCA camp this year we came across a 5 session Magic workshop being offered throughout the month of July. How could we resist signing him up.

Captain Corbin led the class. A great guy with lots of magical talent.

Today was the final day where family and friends were invited to view a "Magic Show" put on by the kids in the workshop. The Magnificent Nick performed three tricks; Cups and Balls (which I still can't figure out), Quarter through the table and a special trick using a magic bag from "the" collection where he managed to turn Jake's dirty sock into a silk hanky.

What a fun hobby for Nick to get involved in. Captain Corbin gives private lessons too, which we may just sign him up for. It would neat to be able to identify and learn how to use those treasures tucked away in the basement.

Can Nick come over and do my laundry sometime? I could do with some silk socks. ;)
