OVFL Champions

Today was the day of the big game. The London Falcon’s vs the Toronto Thunder at Varsity stadium.

Jacob stayed with Nana and Papa for the day so I could actually sit back and enjoy the game instead of chasing. Thanks Mom and Dad.

It was a nice drive to Toronto and a beautiful day for football. We packed a picnic lunch which we enjoyed prior to the game along with the numerous items of candy Nick and Andrew purchased at the convenient stand.

I think the coaches were more nervous than the players. Norb paced back and forth before the game listening intently to his I-Pod and Ron disappeared somewhere. To gather himself and his nerves I think.

Signs of support addorned the stands and the chants of "DEFENCE clap clap DEFENCE clap clap" echoed through the stadium.

The Falcon's had control of the game from kick off. There were a few nervous moments but in the end they came out champions!

The London Falcons went a straight 11-0 for the season to win the Ontario Varsity Championship.

The celebration on the field after the 4th quarter came to a close was sweet. A lot of emotions. A lot of pictures and a lot of very happy boys! Now they truly know what it feels like when those NFL player touch the Super bowl after victory.
