1/2 Time Show

Tonight the Western Mustangs were at home playing host to Ottawa for their third game of the season. We have season tickets and tonight The Ferwerda Four made their way together to section G to watch the Mustangs go down by three touchdowns VERY early.

It wasn't University ball we were there to see however. It was the 1/2 time show.
The St. Thomas Hawks were scrimaging against Westminister as part of the 1/2 time show during the game. Nicholas and his teammates were so excited to get out onto Western's turf to show everyone what they had and Ron was nervous at how his team would come together on the field.

The noise that stadium creates is simply amazing. Jacob did his part in banging his feet against the metal stands chanting "Let's go Mustangs, let's go." I even caught a T-Shirt that was thrown into the crowd. Jacob decided that he should wear it. It went down to his ankles.

When it was time for the the Hawks to take the field, the cheers from the LMFA section were deafening. They did great and had a ton of fun being out there just like the pros.

It was difficult to get pictures. Nick is on the right with black pants and helmet chasing the kid with the ball.
The parents had a great time getting cold bums from the metal stands and drinking hot chocolate. It was darn cold out there. But it was all worth it to watch our little ones be in the spotlight.

We left after 1/2 time but heard The Mustangs did make up some ground in the second half but still ended up losing.

The St. Thomas Hawks however were definate winners!
