Today was Nick’s first day back to school. I can’t believe he is already in grade 4. He is getting way too big way too fast. Ron had the day off today so drove him over in the morning. Nicholas wanted to ride his bike… all by himself. He wore his new football shirt and combed his hair just so then proceeded to put his seahawk hat. He lives in that thing. I made him take it off for the picture.
It scares me a bit to think that I remember the details of my grade 4 year vividly. I had Mrs. Campbell and Mrs. Kouture. It was a split grade 4 / 5 class and I really didn’t like it. My boyfriends name was Chris and we held hands on a class trip. My best friend was Jennifer and we had sleep overs with our stuffies. Jennifer ripped her pants one day playing super ball and I went home with her so she could change. She was so upset that her mom would be mad. The funny things we remember.
Nicholas enjoyed his day and was happy to see all his friends again. He has a great teacher with a great bunch of kids in his class. I have a good feeling that his grade 4 year will be a happy one to remember! I wonder what memories he will take to his adult years?
