School's in session

Jacob is adjusting to JK nicely now. The first week had me worried. It has now been 2 weeks and he seems a lot happier and is starting to settle in nicely. His teacher says that he has been having some great days. He participates freely and is quite the little social bug. That’s my Jacob!

Today they had a mouse in their class named Nibles. He couldn’t stop talk about him. When I asked Jake whose mouse it was he answered “It’s my teacher’s. It lives with her in the classroom.” It’s funny how kids think that teacher’s live at the school.

We attended the school’s open house this past Wednesday and the boys got to show off their classrooms and recent specimens of work. Nick’s classroom is on the second floor of the school and I now understand why he always wants to wear shorts to school. It is so hot up there. Nick had a great recap of his summer proudly displayed on the wall and when we checked out his desk there were 6 empty water bottles in there. Kinda reminds me of how he keeps him room up. Jacob was so proud to show off his classroom. “This is the play doe table. Only 2 people are allowed to sit here. This is where I keep my lunch. This is where I play on the computer. This is the smart board. This is… “ Both of the kid’s teachers are very nice and I anticipate a very successful school year for the both of them!
