Nick played in his final Tyke game against his buddy Andrew's team.
He truly loved this year of football. His heart was in every minute of it. So much so, that he took the loss today pretty hard. They all received medals for a job well done. Even Jake received one as an honorary member of the team!
Later in the day, Ron's Atom team was also defeated. As head coach Ron had a hard time closing off the season after the game. He has spent a lot of time with these boys; teaching them more than just how to pass the ball. The parents put together a scrapbook housing memories from the 2007 season. A beautiful keepsake.
Sometimes, although hard, you need to remember that it is only a game. It is not about who wins or loses. It is not about how many touchdowns you get or tackles you make. It is about doing what you love and doing your best at it! Both my boys did exactly this!
