SWAIN

SWAIN - definition... Part snow and part rain.

That is what has been falling from the sky all day. We can officially say that Tuesday November 6th marks the first snow of the season. The kids were very excited to see the white stuff. Jacob asked how long before he could go sledding at the park. Nick is happy that he doesn't have to go to football practice tonight since their season is over!

I am not quite as excited about the SWAIN. It is cold and miserable and wet. To make it even extra enjoyable, I am waiting for the furnace repair dude to come as I write this. Yes, we have no heat. We do have a wood stove which is slowly warming the house to a comfortable temperature. It is very hot in the basement and very cold in the bedrooms.

Let's hope it's a quick fix so we can all sleep comfortably tonight!
